RENO, Nev. (Nevada Athletics) - Sophomore Lilly Urban will compete in Javelin Thursday at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Javelin final is set for 5:15 p.m. on ESPN+ from Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Urban, the 2025 Mountain West champion in Javelin, qualified for this week’s national meet with a top-12 finish at the NCAA West First Round in College Station, Texas, two weeks ago.

Thursday, she will throw in Flight 1 of the final. Each of the two Flights will have 12 throwers. Urban’s school-record throw of 56.89 meters at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships was her personal-best, and is the top personal-best among her Flight and ranks 10th in the field of 24.

The top eight finishers earn first-team All-America recognition from the USTFCCCA, while places 9-16
