HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Wednesday's Hometown Heroes are inviting all dog lovers to a baseball game.

The Harrisburg Senators and The Davis Dog Farm will hold a baseball fundraiser next month at FNB Field.

It's a part of the "Wet Nose Wednesday" promotion, where fans can bring their dogs and watch a Senators game together.

Adoptable dogs will also be at the game, and the funds raised will help cover the nonprofit's operating costs.

"Adoption fees rarely ever actually gain anything, just because of the cost of vet fees, food and things like that," said Janea Davis, executive director of The Davis Dog Farm, which is based in Grantville. "We lose money on every dog we adopt out, so our fundraisers are what really support
