Philippines to Open Market with Zero Tariffs for US Goods as Military Ties Strengthen

President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced the conclusion of a new trade deal with the Philippines, following a meeting with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at the White House.

The announcement, made by Trump on his TRUTH Social platform, detailed an agreement that will see the Philippines open its market with zero tariffs for U.S. goods, while U.S. imports from the Philippines will face a 19% tariff.
