Police have released a CCTV image following a distraction theft at Nuneaton's Asda store. The victim, who has not been identified but is a woman, was at the Newtown Road-based store.

Officers say that she was distracted while money was stolen from her. It has not been revealed how much money was stolen.

But police have said that they need to trace two women in the store at the time. They have released a CCTV image of the pair.

"We would like to speak to them in connection with a theft in Nuneaton earlier this month," a Warwickshire Police spokesperson said.

"The theft took place in Asda , Nuneaton, at around 12.20pm on 4 July. A female shopper was distracted while money was stolen from her. If you recognise them or have any information, please call 101 quoting incident number 132
