Thieves demanded car keys in a burglary amid a spate of 'frightening' incidents in Coventry . Police have been investigating a number of city burglaries, including in Bablake and Holbrooks .

Officers from the Bablake NPT said they received reports of two burglaries in the neighbourhood. One was a car key burglary that happened on Bowness Close.

Offenders were said to have broken into the property and demanded car keys before quickly fleeing. Police said they are also investigating a second burglary on Overslade Crescent.

Burglars raided the property while the residents were sleeping. It is believed they reported the burglary when they noticed the doors were 'wide open' the following morning.
