LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas Metro Police say a cold case out of Arizona, where deputies found human remains, may have ties to the valley.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office says its Special Investigations Unit is working to identify human remains that were found in Dolan Springs on August 26, 2021. The area is about one hour southeast of Las Vegas.

The remains were found in the 1700 block of North Drive. A homeowner told deputies they were breaking a concrete slab on the property when the remains were found underneath it.

Investigators have since worked on creating a DNA profile for the remains. According to autopsy results, the victim was about 45 to 65 years old, 5′6″ to 5′10″ tall, had dark brown hair and no distinct dental work. The results indicate the victim may be Hispanic a
