A woman involved in a July hit-and-run crash died this week, according to a Metro Police news release.

The 78-year-old died from her injuries Wednesday, police stated.

The collision occurred the evening of July 3 at the intersection of Mountain Vista and Rawhide streets, the release stated.

Evidence at the scene indicated that as a GMC Yukon was traveling on Rawhide, a Hyundai Sonata attempted turn left from being stopped at a stop sign.

As the Hyundai entered the intersection, the GMC struck the left side of the Sonata.

Carlos Lee, 41, of Las Vegas, the GMC’s driver then allegedly fled the scene on foot, the release stated.

The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Sunrise Hospital at the time, where she eventually died.
