The Fontana City Council honored two individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the community on July 8.

Adam Trigger and Susana Gallardo were presented with plaques commemorating their accomplishments by Police Capt. Angela Stover and Chief Deputy City Clerk Christina Rudsell, respectively.

Trigger is a public works maintenance worker II who performed the Heimlich maneuver to save a Fontana resident’s life.

“He saved someone’s life — that’s awesome,” said Peter Garcia, mayor pro tem for the city of Fontana. “People like Adam make this city great, and validate the character of the people we hire here in the city.”

Trigger began his career with the city in December 2016. He is responsible for the building maintenance at Community Services, Cypress and Knopf Cent
