WASHINGTON — A D.C. woman is facing charges after authorities say she held up the transfer of two men to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody Monday night.
According to the Department of Justice, two men were being released from the DC Jail into ICE custody around 7:30 p.m. The DOJ did not identify the men who were being transferred but claims the pair are alleged gang members who had been arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department. One of the two men was reportedly accused of firearm offenses, but the DOJ did not go into further detail.
An FBI agent was helping ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers with the transfer outside the jail when 44-year-old Sydney Lori Reid approached and began recording a video.
