Music legend and Rochester, N.Y., native Chuck Mangione has died.

His family says he passed away peacefully at his Rochester home on Tuesday.

During his career, Mangione became an internationally acclaimed recording artist, flugelhorn player and composer. It began when he was a teenager, working with his brother, Gap, when they formed the Jazz Brothers, his family says.

Mangione's 60-year career would see him record more than 30 albums and be nominated for 14 Grammy awards, two of which he won. His biggest hit, 1978's "Feels So Good," reached as high as No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for Record of the Year at the Grammys.

Chuck composed and performed "Give it All You Got," which was the theme song for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid where the "Miracle on Ice"
