BOGALUSA,La. (WGNO) — A man is now behind bars after allegedly bringing contraband into a Washington Parish jail.

On Thursday, July 24, Washington Parish Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Timothy Charles Pittman.

According to deputies, cell phones and narcotics were reportedly found during a search of the jail. An investigation revealed the contraband was received from a nearby medical center as an inmate, left there by Pittman, sought medical treatment.

An arrest warrant was issued and with the help of the Bogalusa Police Department, Pittman was taken into custody at his Bogalusa home.
