A man accused of injuring five minors in a Tulane/Gravier area hit-and-run was arrested Friday, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Bryan Johnson, 27, allegedly fled the scene of the crash at South Claiborne and Tulane avenues on foot at around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Four youths were taken to a hospital and one was treated at the scene. The crash happened near the 24/7 Discount gas station, where a Kia struck a street sign. The car’s hood was heavily damaged, and airbags had deployed. NOPD did not say which vehicle Johnson drove.

Johnson was booked into Orleans Justice Center after being treated for injuries sustained during the crash, NOPD said. His booking charges were not immediately available.
