A Huntsville man faces charges following a hit-and-run that left a motorcyclist seriously inured late Thursday evening .

According to Huntsville Police, the wreck happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mountain Gap Road and Memorial Parkway. Police say the driver of the motorcycle was taken to Huntsville Trauma Services in serious condition. Investigators say the driver of the other vehicle involved in the wreck fled the scene.

While searching the area, officers found a vehicle parked on Branscomb Circle. A man standing in the front yard of a nearby home was then identified as the possible driver.
