A Lester man is facing multiple charges after police say he led them on a high-speed chase in Morgan County.

According to the Priceville Police Department, about 11 p.m. Saturday, police observed a silver pickup truck traveling at excessive speeds southbound on Interstate 65.

Police tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver did not comply, prompting a pursuit that continued south.

Police say the driver maneuvered recklessly through traffic, utilized the shoulder to overtake other vehicles, and narrowly avoided two collisions while discarding items from the vehicle.

In response, Falkville Police deployed spike strips near the Thompson Road exit, successfully immobilizing the truck.

The driver, 19-year-old Jeremiah Hawke McLemore, was arrested without further incident. A juvenile
