Police in California have recovered approximately $30,000 worth of stolen Labubu collectibles. The items were taken during multiple burglary trips over several days, according to the Chino Police Department.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in Upland, California, where they discovered 14 boxes filled with the stolen merchandise. Evidence found at the scene suggested that the items were being prepared for resale and shipment across the country.
The investigation began after reports of a burglary at a warehouse. Authorities say that suspects entered the facility and stole boxes containing the highly sought-after Labubus, which are often sold at high prices online.
During the search, one suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended without incident. Chino officials stated, "During the investigation, a search warrant was served at a residence in Upland. Detectives recovered fourteen boxes of stolen merchandise, along with evidence indicating the items were being prepared for resale and shipment across the country."
The recovered collectibles have been returned to their rightful owners. However, police have not disclosed whether any suspects have been identified or if charges have been filed in connection with the case.
