A dramatic rescue in Florida was caught on the body camera video of an officer who had to pull a man from a burning home by his ankle.

According to the Tampa Police Department, thick smoke was pouring from the home with a large portion engulfed in flames when officers arrived Saturday evening.

Officials say the officers found the man just a few feet from the front door and quickly pulled him out to safety.

Some officers were treated for smoke inhalation but department officials say they are now OK.

Tampa Fire Rescue put out the fire, which was determined to be accidental.
