DENVER (KDVR) — On Friday, the Colorado Department of Education announced that they have received a notice that the millions will be returned to the state, following the federal withholding by the Trump administration.
As FOX31 previously reported, the withholding of federal funding for Colorado was around $71 million, which came after the Trump administration’s decision to withhold over $6 billion for after-school, summer programs and more across the nation.
Last week, the U.S. Department of Education decided to release $1.3 billion for after-school and summer programs.
