DENVER (KDVR) — After several days of sweltering temperatures, we're getting a nice little break from the high heat. The Denver weather forecast for Sunday features unseasonably mild temperatures, but it will also come with another opportunity for afternoon showers and storms.

The severe weather threat Sunday afternoon is low, level 1 of 5, but any thunderstorms that form will bring a risk of heavy rain, hail and high wind gusts.

Weather tonight: Mostly cloudy

Skies will be mostly cloudy overnight Saturday and we'll have mostly dry conditions, but a few showers or an isolated storm can't be ruled out for the first part of the night. Temperatures will be pleasantly cool with lows generally in the 50s.
