3SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. — A Coram woman has been sentenced to seven years in prison for attempting to kill a 63-year-old woman by intentionally running her over with a minivan following a confrontation in a Bellport parking lot, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced.

Philomena Mistretta, 51, pleaded guilty in June to attempted murder in the second degree, attempted assault in the first degree, and assault in the second degree, all stemming from an October 2024 incident at Miracle Plaza off Montauk Highway.

According to prosecutors, at approximately 3:30 a.m. on October 26, Mistretta was sitting in her 2004 white Toyota Sienna when she began arguing with the victim, who was standing next to the passenger side of the vehicle. The argument escalated into a physical al
