'Banning letters' have been dished out as police crackdown on trouble-makers in a Coventry community. It is part of the action being taken in the Wood End area of the city.

The Henley police team said tackling anti-social behaviour in the area was key for them this summer. The areas they are targeting are Hillmorton Road, Deedmore Road, Moat House Park and Ringwood Highway.

"This will remain a local priority or next three months due to lighter summer nights," the team said. They have been carrying out extra patrols - both on foot and in cars.

It has led to action being taken as culprits have been identified. In some cases 'banning letters' have been dished out to warn about behaviour.
