A Gillespie County man was sentenced this week to 40 years of imprisonment after he admitted to sexually assaulting and impregnating a Killeen girl who was 12 years old.

Thomas James Naylor, 41, was being held in the Bell County Jail on Friday without bond on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child and a second-degree felony charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Naylor pleaded guilty to both charges on Wednesday in the 426th Judicial District Court. Judge Steve Duskie followed a plea agreement and sentenced Naylor to prison terms of 40 and 20 years, which will be served concurrently.

Naylor, of Stonewall, Texas, was indicted by a Bell County grand jury on Sept. 27, 2023. He was booked into the county jail on July 24, 2023.
