Bristol's community of amateur photographers have expressed their frustration and discomfort after security personnel at this month's Bristol Harbour Festival strictly enforced a ban on 'professional photography'. Numerous individuals told Bristol Live that they were prevented from bringing cameras into certain festival areas, including Queen Square and the amphitheatre.

However, in response to these complaints, the festival organisers have assured that such an incident will not occur next year.

The Harbour Festival was held over the weekend of 18th to 20th July, attracting thousands to the Floating Harbour for a variety of events, from water displays to concerts at Queen Square and the amphitheatre. Entry to these areas was free, although security bag checks were conducted.
