CHEYENNE — Cognitive decline can be detected before symptoms even appear, thanks to an online test using artificial intelligence.
The test was produced through a partnership of Lunavi, a local information technology company, and a Florida- based digital tool developing company called i-Function.
According to Lunavi’s case study with i-Function and LASSI-D, only 16% of seniors receive regular cognitive assessments, and more than 90% of the 7.4 million Americans age 65 and older with mild cognitive impairment remain undiagnosed.
LASSI-D, which stands for Loewenstein-Acevedo Scales of Semantic Interference and Learning — Digital, is a clinician-administered online test used for assessment of early cognitive decline leading to Alzheimer’s disease.
