McDonald’s Gives Back Day to benefit High Plains Food Bank

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - This year’s McDonald’s Gives Back Day will benefit the High Plains Food Bank .

Event organizers say on July 29, a portion of sales from McDonald’s locations in Amarillo, Canyon, Dumas, Dalhart, and Borger will benefit the nonprofit.

“This is the highest need we’ve seen in our 43-year history. Thankfully, we live in an extremely generous community that rallies behind us during challenging times, as evident with the upcoming McDonald’s Gives Back Day,” said Zivorad Filipovic, director of marketing and communications for High Plains Food Bank.

People can support the food bank by visiting any participating location.

The High Plains Food Bank says every $1 raised helps provide up to nine meals for local families facing food insecurity.
