AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Members from beef organizations in the Panhandle donated over $100,000 Monday to support the Snack Pak 4 Kids Beef Fund.
Organizers say $100,907 was raised from the seventh annual Beef 4 Kids Classic golf tournament.
“So we send rebates to our programs in Dalhart, Dumas, Hereford, Farwell, Friona, down to Plainview. So all of those communities that are very predominantly ag producing communities. This golf tournament goes back to help all of those communities, so this is not just a fundraiser that helps Amarillo, this truly goes out and helps children all over the Panhandle,” said Dyron Howell, executive director of Snack Pak 4 Kids.
The funds will help provide high-quality beef protein to students through the Snack Pak 4 Kids weekend backpack program.
