CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - The West Texas A&M University School of Music will host two perfomances this week to kick off its concert season.
School of Music faculty members will also offer a free recital at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 26 in the Mary Moody Northen Recital Hall.
A roundtable discussion of Dmitri Shostakovich’s life and work will take place at noon on Aug. 27 in the Hazel Kelley Wilson Grand Lobby in the Sybil B. Harrington Fine Arts Complex.
WT says the following individuals will lead the discussion:
Dr. Amy Von Lintel, professor of art history
Dr. Nicole Kraus, assistant professor of sociology
Dr. Elizabeth Morrow Clark, professor of history
Dr. Bonnie Roos, professor of English
Two WT musicians and an internationlly renowned cellist will then perform a special concert at 7:30 p.m.
