WASHINGTON — Several ice cream products sold nationwide have been recalled due to an undeclared milk allergen.

Tropicale Foods issued a recall Friday for 14 of its ice cream products sold nationwide under the brands La Michoacana and Helados Mexico. The manufacturer said that although these products include "cream" in the product ingredient list, "milk" is not declared.

The recall comes after an illness was reported in relation to the undeclared milk.

The undeclared allergen poses a risk to those with milk allergies or sensitivities, potentially leading to serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if consumed.
