The suspect in the shooting of a Scottsboro Police Department officer now knows his bond.

Daniel McCarn of Huntsville is being held on a $10 million bond, according to Scottsboro Chief Greg Godfrey.

Godfrey says it's among the largest bonds he's seen in his more than 30 years with the department.

McCarn is in the Jackson County Jail on an attempted murder charge after Scottsboro Police responded to a domestic incident early Saturday.

Lt. Derek Porch, who has been with the department 29 years, was shot in his left hand by McCarn in the line of duty, according to Godfrey. Godfrey said Porch will undergo another medical procedure at Huntsville Hospital on Monday. He did not reveal details of the procedure.
