A 29-year-old Frisco man who was indicted in Bell County last year on a felony charge will have his case decided by a jury this week.

According to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office, jury selection began on Monday in the 264th Judicial District Court. The defendant, Rashard Devondre Readus, was indicted on Feb. 28, 2024, on a second-degree felony charge of indecency with a child by contact.

He was released from the Bell County Jail after posting a reduced bond of $40,000, on Oct. 1, 2024, court records show.

On Jan. 4, 2023, a Killeen police officer was dispatched to a residence in the city regarding a report that a 13-year-old girl had been molested by Readus.
