LITTLE ROCK, Ark — Attorney General Tim Griffin announced on Tuesday that he has sent a letter asking Congress to halt the shipment of abortion pills to Arkansas. His office also said that they've sent four cease-and-desist letters to companies.
Griffin was joined by 15 other attorneys general as part of a multistate letter that was issued to Congress. His office said that the letter asked lawmakers to "preempt pro-abortion States' shield laws that attempt to protect those that ship abortion pills to States where abortion is illegal."
As part of the letter to Congress, Griffin was joined by attorneys general from the following states: Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
