OCEAN CITY — Authorities searched an Asbury Avenue apartment Tuesday for evidence of child pornography but made no mention of an arrest. Local activists say the operation may have also involved Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.
A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to the search of the apartment in the 800 block of Asbury, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and police Chief William Campbell said in a news release. They said the search was part of an ongoing investigation into child exploitation.
Authorities seized cellphones, laptops and video cameras from the apartment, the Prosecutor's Office said.
