BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department is asking the public for help with an investigation into a fatal hit-and-run crash.

The crash happened in the 7800 block of Anselmo Lane.

According to Capital Region Crime Stoppers, detectives believe that on Sunday, June 8, around 9:30 p.m., the photographed vehicle hit a person, who was in the roadway, while headed westbound on Anselmo Lane towards Essen Lane.

The vehicle is believed to be a silver or grey sedan with front-end damage.

Officials said the driver removed the vehicle’s bumper after the crash and fled eastbound towards Bluebonnet Boulevard.
