SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - As the Notre Dame football team gets ready for the upcoming season, several Irish players were named to award watch lists on Tuesday.

On the defensive side of the ball, Notre Dame had both junior linebacker Drayk Bowen and sophomore cornerback Leonard Moore named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List.

The award is given to the nation’s best defensive player. Two former Irish players have won the award, including Xavier Watts (2023) and Manti Te’o (2012).

On the offensive side, Notre Dame also had two players named to the Outland Trophy Watch List for the nation’s best interior lineman.
