Get your shopping list and check it twice for Virginia’s sales tax holiday this weekend.

Shoppers can get tax-free deals on clothing, footwear, school supplies, hurricane emergency preparedness items and Energy Star and WaterSense products Friday through Sunday. The sales tax rate is 6% for much of Hampton Roads and 7% for Williamsburg, James City County and York County.

Additionally, Walmart will offer more savings with 200 back-to-school discounts. Stores will feature over 100 school supplies priced under $1 and more than 1,000 under $5.
