EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A local nonprofit helping fight food insecurity in Daviess County will begin accepting applications from local organizations interested in being selected as the beneficiary of its annual fundraiser dinner and silent auction.

According to a press release, Empty Bowls of Owensboro invites applications from Daviess County organizations working to combat hunger through sustainable solutions, community engagement, education and innovative programming.

Officials say selected recipients will receive proceeds from this year’s Empty Bowls dinner and silent auction.

The dinner and silent auction will take place on Thursday, November 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the lobby of the RiverPark Center.

They say this year marks the 20th anniversary of Empty Bowls in Owensboro.
