HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - Officials with the Henderson Police Department say they were requested by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a deputy-involved shooting.
They say it happened on July 10, at 11:47pm.
20 days after it happened, 14 News got a tip and called about it.
That’s when officials confirmed it happened.
They say the preliminary investigation indicates that a HCSO Deputy found a vehicle that had just fled from a traffic stop.
The deputy tried to stop the driver in the 2900 block of US Hwy 60 east near the Greenleaf Market.
Officials say the the suspect wouldn’t stop, and the deputy chased him, going east on US Hwy 60.
They say the suspect and the HCSO Deputy entered the roundabouts and lost control.
