PHOENIX — For the first time since 2010, Patrick Peterson is not preparing for an NFL season at training camp.

The eight-time Pro Bowler and 2011 first-round pick retired as an Arizona Cardinal back in April, returning to the team’s practice facility in Tempe for a celebration of his career where he was surrounded by his family, former teammates, and members of the current Cardinals coaching staff.

Earlier this month, 12Sports journalist Lina Washington caught up with the former NFL cornerback while he was competing in the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe.
