HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities say a suspect has been shot by a Harris County deputy in northwest Harris County.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said it happened in the 10700 block of Wolsley Ct.

Authorities say it happened during some sort of disturbance or call for service.

The suspect is being taken to a hospital by helicopter in critical condition.

Gonzalez says the deputy involved may have a minor injury, but officials do not believe it is due to gunfire at this time. The deputy is being taken to a hospital in fair condition.
