TEMPE, Ariz. — At this time last year, Sam Leavitt was at a new school, learning a new offense and trying to prove he was worthy of being Arizona State football's starting quarterback.
Today, there is talk of winning the Heisman Trophy , talk of ASU repeating as Big 12 champs, and coaches challenging Leavitt in ways that would be incomprehensible to some college quarterbacks.
Leavitt has embraced the expectations and challenges and is emboldened to take his game to new heights in 2025.
"Last year, I was kind of trying to prove that I can go play some ball. This year, it's really just becoming the best quarterback possible," he said.
