As Kitty Hawk License Plate agency preps for August open, owners hope for better customer experience

With a custom-built counter that includes three workstations, a lower counter designed to be wheelchair accessible, 32 chairs and a water dispenser, the new DMV License Plate agency in Kitty Hawk is getting ready to open.

According to co-owner Denise Hall, the new agency, which is located in the Sea Dune Shoppes, 3809 N. Croatan Highway, will open on Tuesday, Aug. 26. That date, Hall told the Voice, is based on a training and equipment delivery schedule that DMV has put into place.
