The suspect in the Grand Sierra Resort shootings that killed three people has died.

Dakota Hawver , a 26-year-old Reno resident, "was pronounced dead overnight," Sparks police said in a news release Thursday morning.

Hawver had been in critical condition after exchanging gunfire with GSR security and Reno police officers on Monday.

Hawver had been identified as the killer of Angel Martinez, 66, of Sparks; Justin Agulia, 33, of Chatsworth, Calif.; and Andrew Canepa, 33, of Newbury Park, Calif.

Two additional victims were hospitalized but are expected to make a full recovery.
