BISMARCK, ND – North Dakota’s Medical Marijuana Program is set to undergo several key updates aimed at making access easier, safer, and more convenient for patients across the state. These changes, passed by state lawmakers during the 2025 legislative session, will go into effect on August 1, 2025.
What’s Changing?
Edibles Will Soon Be Available: Starting August 1, the state will allow the production and sale of low-dose edible cannabis products in the form of soft lozenges (gummies) or hard lozenges. Products are restricted to 5mg THC per serving and 50 mg THC per container. While these products fall under the 6000mg extract allotment, a 310mg per day purchase limit has also been instituted. These new options are smoke-free and may offer patients a more discreet and simple way to reliev
