HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - Vanderburgh County Sheriff Noah Robinson says a body was found after an empty boat was found floating in the Ohio River on Wednesday.

As we previously reported , a call came in around 5 p.m. for a boat floating down the river with no one inside near Dogtown Boat Ramp.

When police found the boat only personal items were found inside.

DNR officials confirm the body found is confirmed as the boater who went missing.

Officials say the man’s body was half a mile downstream from the boat.

They say no foul play is expected and an autopsy is being performed at the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office.
