ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Delta Air Lines flying from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam diverted to Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport Wednesday night due to significant turbulence.

Twenty-five passengers on board flight DL56 were taken to local hospitals for “evaluation and care,” the airline said.

“I watched a wine car just get thrown into the air and like stuff is thrown everywhere. People lost phones, like people were screaming. It was crazy,” passenger William Webster said. “I felt the centrifugal force. I was off my seat for like 30 seconds with the turbulence.”
