SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI)-- The San Diego Padres are making massive moves just hours ahead of the MLB's trade deadline Thursday, 3:00 p.m. (PT), by acquiring pitchers Mason Miller and JP Sears from the Athletics, according to ESPN.

With the addition of Miller and Sears, the Friars will be bolstering an All-Star-filled bullpen that houses strong right-handers Robert Suarez and Jason Adam.

In exchange for Miller and Sears, the A's will be receiving the No. 3 prospect in the MLB, 18-year-old shortstop Leodalis De Vries. They will also be getting a trio of right-handed pitchers via the trade, acquiring Braden Nett, Henry Báez and Eduarniel Nuñez, according to ESPN.
