SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A man wanted by the San Angelo Police Department for sexual assault may have received assistance and been taken to San Angelo after being discovered in Robert Lee, according to the Coke County Sheriff's Office.

In a public statement issued during the afternoon of July 31, CCSO stated that the suspect, identified as Ezequiel Saldana and also known as Ezequiel Martinez, "may have received assistance from family and friends to evade law enforcement." The sheriff's office believes he may have returned to San Angelo or possibly fled to Mexico.

"If it is determined that anyone assisted in his escape, those individuals will face charges for harboring a felony fugitive," CCSO said.
