Baltimore police are investigating a mass shooting that occurred Saturday night in the Clyburn neighborhood, near Pimlico Race Course. The incident took place at the intersection of Queensbury and Spaulding Avenues, where six individuals were shot, including one youth.
In response to the shooting, multiple streets in the area have been closed to the public. Authorities are advising residents and visitors to avoid the vicinity as the investigation continues.
Joseph Payne, a resident of West Belvedere, reported hearing what he thought were gunshots while listening to music. He went outside and saw emergency lights flashing. Payne described witnessing paramedics attending to victims, stating, "I saw one person being rolled out on a gurney, with paramedics telling him repeatedly: 'Keep your eyes up.'" He also noted that another individual was transported in a wheelchair.
Payne observed a large group of approximately 10 to 15 teenagers in the area at the time of the shooting. The police have not released further details about the victims or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
