FLOYD COUNTY, Ky (WSAZ) - An Auxier man is in custody after threating to kill deputies and a US Postal Service employee, according to Floyd County officials.

Saturday afternoon, Prestonsburg Police Officers received a complaint that Johnathan Howell of Auxier had made threats to kill a US Postal Service Employee.

Shortly after the complaint, Howell took to social media to continue his threats, this time making threats to murder Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies, according to the sheriff.

Authorities immediately obtained state felony warrants for Howell’s arrest at the request of the United States Postal Inspector.

Following Floyd District Court’s issuance of these warrants, authorities traveled to Auxier to execute those warrants.
