SHAWNEE, Kan. -- Officers with the Shawnee Police Department are attempting to locate a suspect following a stabbing Thursday afternoon.

Police say just after 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a physical disturbance in the area of W. 75th Street and Reeder Street. Police say a man stabbed the victim inside a local business.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Police said the suspect, described as a white man with long black hair, wearing a black shirt, black shorts or pants and black shoes. Police released a photo of the suspect (seen below) taken by a cell phone inside the business where the incident took place.
