Knicks, Mikal Bridges agree to a four-year contract extension

The New York Knicks and Mikal Bridges have reached an agreement on a four-year, $150 million contract extension, per ESPN’s Shams Charania .

The agreement finally answers the question on if Bridges would extend with the Knicks this offseason. He leaves a considerable amount of money on the table by signing this offseason instead of waiting for free agency next summer.

Bridges was acquired by the Knicks from the Brooklyn Nets last summer in exchange for a whopping five first-round picks, and several players. In his first season with the team, he averaged 17.6 points per game, and shot 50 percent from the field.
